Are you a Future Ready Librarian?
National and international presenter Shannon McClintock Miller will challenge you to unleash the library leader in you by using digital tools to connect, create and collaborate. You will have hands-on opportunities to craft your library leadership skills and deepen your professional knowledge as you begin to shape your professional future as well as the future of those you serve in your library.
What can you do to become a Future Ready Librarian? What does it mean for your library, school, teachers and, especially, your students if you are a Future Ready Librarian? These questions are central to Future Ready Librarians: YOU Lead the Way! the 2017 Carol A. Kearney Leadership Institute from the School Library Section of the New York Library Association (NYLA/SSL). They are also questions we ask ourselves everyday as we embrace our ever-evolving roles within the library and school community.

In this 12 hours of NYS CTLE certified professional development, national and international presenter Shannon McClintock Miller will explore with you the critical role that librarians can play in your strategic work with library educational technology leadership--empowering your students as creators and learners and you as a leader and content curator, exploring innovative instructional practices as leaders in the digital transformation of learning.

Shannon McClintock Miller will challenge you to unleash the Future Ready Librarian in you with hands-on opportunities to learn and use digital tools and resources. She will inspire you to embrace the changes you can bring as a Future Ready librarian. You will strengthen your library leadership skills and deepen your knowledge as you begin to shape your professional future--as well as the future of those you work with every day in the library.

You will “Connect, Create, and Collaborate,” meeting the goals of the Future Ready Librarians initiative and will leave supplied with the knowledge, resources and tools you need to be a Future Ready Librarian.
AND presenting our all new Thursday night program: MakerSpace Petting Zoo and REVAMPED scholarship auction!
